About Us
Origami is a platform for cashless payments with a mission to “Create the future of money, payments and commerce”. Established in 2012, Origami released its smartphone payment service in 2015, officially launching “Origami Pay” in May 2016. It is now rolled out nationwide at convenience stores, international fast food chains, taxis, department stores and shops across various verticals.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Origami Pay’s engineering teams.
- Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
- Work with engineers across the company to build new features at large-scale.
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
- Launch a new market or payment method.
- Work with our Analytics and Fraud teams to reduce chargebacks and declines.
- Build new tools for our business teams.
- Build new systems to securely store sensitive data
Required Skills/Experience
- Experience building APIs.
- Ability to think about systems and services and write high quality code.

- Employment Type: Full-Time-Regular Employee (3-Month probationary period from start date)
- Work Hours: 10:00-19:00 (Flex working time)
- Work Location: Tokyo Headquarters
